Support RCH with a chance to stay at Silverledges

July 10, 2017 Leave a Comment Written by rch

“Silverledges” is the name Rachel Carson gave to her summer cottage, on the coast of Maine. Through a special opportunity, the RCHA invites support of the humble home in Springdale with a chance to visit Silverledges.

Bob Musil, president of the Rachel Carson Council, had the opportunity to visit in 2015. He offered this eloquent essay to share and help inspire 100 people to invest in a chance to stay at the cottage that will evoke Rachel Carson ‘s professional life as much as a visit to her Springdale, PA birthplace evokes her youthful development of a sense of wonder.

For more information, read the announcement – Chances to visit in July 2019 are on sale now! Any Carson fan would enjoy the visit as a vacation of a lifetime and the funds help support the Homestead.

And check Bob Musil’s essay about his recent visit.

Good luck and thank you for your support!
