Fixing Food presents five segments, each with a creative and unique solution to parts of food issues, from agricultural carbon footprint to effective use of food, waste reduction, and feeding the hungry. Segments include: The Three Cricketeers – a solution that questions cultural barriers to provide no-waste high-protein edible components; a blend of modern farming practices with Native American foods resulting in Native Table; Farming the Sky; Harvesting the Sea; and The Rescue Brigade, a Pittsburgh-based initiative to address both food waste and hunger, that is being adapted in other locations.
