Welcome Visitors! Hawk Mountain & Sichuan U.

We are also pleased to welcome visitors from the University of Sichuan, China.

VISITORS from HAWK MOUNTAIN spending a weekend in Pittsburgh visiting the Rachel Carson Homestead and more. Hawk Mountain is a sanctuary and international research center, the world’s first refuge for birds of prey. Rachel Carson enjoyed visiting Hawk Mountain for both pleasure and research, as you can read in Silent Spring and her essays.

SICHUAN UNIVERSITY -Students attending a summer camp at the University of Pittsburgh will visit the Rachel Carson Homestead.

Large and small groups, families, friends, clubs are accommodated for tours.

A minimum of four adults is requested for special tour dates. Smaller groups, particularly for out-of-town visitors are accommodated with some notice. Please email or call and someone will respond. Allow 48 hours for a reply. Thank you for understanding – and for your interest!
