    Eagles' Aerie - meet Irwin and Claire

    Get the latest news on American Bald Eagles Irwin and Claire, who nest 100 feet up a sycamore tree along the Monongahela River, below the Mon Valley Works at the U.S. Steel Irvin Plant. Currently Irvin and Claire are incubating two eggs!

    Exciting Eagles’ Aerie Presentation by Don German, U.S. Steel plant manager. Don is an energetic and erudite eagle enthusiast who monitors and cares for the cameras and eagles.

    You are invited to celebrate a special event during Earth Day week with the Rachel Carson Homestead in Springdale, PA on April 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. (Eastern). Get the latest news on American Bald Eagles Irwin and Claire, who nest 100 feet up a sycamore tree along the Monongahela River, below the Mon Valley Works at the U.S. Steel Irvin Plant. Currently Irvin and Claire are incubating two eggs!

    Exciting Eagles’ Aerie Presentation by Don German, U.S. Steel plant manager. Don is an energetic and erudite eagle enthusiast who monitors and cares for the cameras and eagles.

    The program is free. Registration is required due to limited seating. We will share via Zoom for an overflow audience and anyone requiring special accessibility. Any donations will be shared between the Rachel Carson Homestead and the Tamarack Wildlife Rehab Center in Saegertown, Crawford County, PA.
